    First cut (2) 3″ squares of different colors or patterns.

    Next, place (2) 3″ inch squares together, right sides facing together. I have the darker fabric on top so I can see the chalk better.

    Then I I use a ruler to guide me while I chalk a line.

    Next stitch a quarter inch away from the middle line.
